Les Moustans: stylish gites and chambres d'hotes with 2 pools & delightful grounds, childfriendly, 2 swimming pools, located in the beautiful Lot countryside. Gite 1 is a one-bedroom gite (sleeps max. 4 people), modernly furnished and well equipped. Ideal for families and couples.

Originally a working farm, Les Moustans has been restored and equipped to the highest standard of comfort and convenience. Standing in over 1 ha of land, we are pleased to offer you a choice of flexible accommodation, making the site ideal for both couples and larger parties.
Our B&B rooms are modernly decorated and fully equipped. All rooms have at least one double bed, and a seperate private sitting room. All rooms have their own private entrace and a balcony or terrace.
Gite 1 is located in the Old Barn, on the top floor. The accomodation in gite 1 exists of the following: 1 large bedroom with a double bed, bathroom, fully equipped kitchen area, combined with living room area. In the living room you will also find a very comfortable sofa bed for 2 people. Outside there is a balcony with garden chairs and table.
All gîtes provide the following:
· Fully equipped kitchen area (fridge, cooker with oven, microwave, toaster, kettle,…), combined with living room area (dining table, chairs, double sofa bed)
· Bathroom (shower, sink and toilet)
· Separate bedroom(s)
· Private terrace or balcony with garden chairs and table
· Duvets and pillows included
· Communal washing machine
As the old farmhouse is our home, we are always around should you have any questions or need any advice on what to do, where to go, how to get there, … We seek to provide and maintain a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere for all our guests.

Within our gardens we have 2 superb swimming pools. They are cleaned and serviced every day and are an ideal place for cooling-off on a hot summer day, or for simply lying back and enjoying a refreshing drink on the terraced area. Furthermore you will also find a children’s play area in our garden, with swings, slide, playhouse etc. Games such as table tennis and darts can be enjoyed in our games room. And the tennis court is only a 2-minute walk away.
And although all gîtes have a fully equipped kitchen, and you have all you need to provide in your own meals, we also provide a "table d'hôte". All meals are prepared on the premises using fresh and seasonal produce, where possible from our own garden. |

Attractions We are located in St. Matre, about 20 km west of Cahors, not far from the medieval town of Montcuq, surrounded by the Cahors vineyards. Montcuq is a most vivid, typical little French town with unspoiled medieval character. Here you will find nice restaurants and cafés as well as a weekly market, where you can buy all the fresh "goodies" directly from the local farmers.
There are all sorts of things to do and see during your holiday in this area. Castles, prehistoric caves, museums, wine tasting, vinocure, canoeing on the rivers, bicycling, walking, riding, fishing, golf and of course visiting beautiful picturesque medieval towns like Sarlat, Gourdon, Cahors, Souillac, Brive, all within easy reach. And what about Rocamadour, where you may have the feeling that you are back in the Middle Ages.
Or just be lazy, enjoy the sun, and dive into our swimming pool to cool off. After all, it is your holiday ! |

Please contact us – preferably by email or telephone – to check the availability of your chosen gîte. If you contact us by email, please state: your contact details (full name, address, email address, fixed telephone number & mobile telephone number); the number of people in your party (plus their ages); which gîte(s) you would prefer; your arrival and departure dates; any special requests you might have.
If the accommodation is still available and you wish to go ahead with the booking, we shall ask you for a deposit of 30% of the total rent due, together with a signed booking form.
The total balance must be paid not less than eight weeks before the start date of your holiday.

After about 18km, pass a stone quarry, turn right, direction Agen (D656)
This road will take you to St-Matré; drive through the village then follow the signs to "Les Moustans".
By plane:
Closest airports are Toulouse (1 1/2 h) and Bergerac (1 h)
When you arrive by train or plane, we recommend that you arrange your own transport so that you can explore the beautiful countryside surrounding Les Moustans. Book ahead - this is often cheaper than trying to hire a car on the day of your arrival. Should you not wish to hire a car, we will be happy to collect you from Toulouse or Bergerac airport, or from Cahors railway station.
