Carefully restored Creusois stone farm cottage in tranquil rural setting dating back 200 years. Sleeps up to 8.
The cottage is located on our 75 acre estate where we raise and trek llamas. You can join us as we walk the females and their crias back to the stables each evening and help with feeding and grooming. You can also stroll through our fields and woods and around the lakes. There are country walks along green lanes all around us – we’ll supply you with itineraries.
The gite comes with exclusive use of the 1 acre Lac du Cerf which is stocked with Carp, Tench, Roach and Perch. Fishing equipment and tuition is available if required. An additional 2.5 acre Carp lake is available for hire.

The front door opens onto the large sitting room with exposed beams, restored stone wall and original fireplace that includes a bread oven. It is comfortably furnished and has an entertainment centre
A short corridor leads to the hardwood stairs, and beyond to the bathroom / utility room. Finally on the ground floor is a well equipped kitchen / diner with French windows leading onto a patio and large garden. The kitchen has a magnificent beam and old fireplace.
The bathroom has wc, hand basin, bath and shower.
Upstairs a central landing lit by the dormer window leads to the 4 bedrooms, two double with en-suite WC and two twin bedrooms. The master bedroom providess a view over the main lake and across Creuse and Indre.

Numerous walks in the area. Riding stables at Clugnat 10km.
Fishing: carp fishing at home, also trout & bass fishing at Gouzon 30km.
Sightseeing: Nouzerines - 12th century church, holy spring; Prebenoit Abbey; Lavaufranche Commanderie; Boussac Castle 15th century (famous tapestries); astounding Pierres Jaumatres and Parcours Aventure in the treetops at Toulx Ste Croixe, also medieval church and tower; museum, Wolf Park and Giant Maze at Gueret; dolmen and menhir at Vigeville; George Sand home at Nouhant Vic and museum at La Chatre; tapestry museum and workshops at Aubusson; ancient tuilerie at Cheniers. We are in the middle of France approximatly 6 hours from the channel ports and 7 hours from the Brittany and Normandy ports. The motorway system now connects all the way down to Chateauxroux and the last hour is through beautiful rolling countryside
