This lovely property is a villa directly overlooking the palm-fringed sandy beach of Playa Flamingo and the sparkling sea, with the dreamy island of Fuerteventura in the distance. Aross the lush gardens below your private terrace lies a wonderful beach offering safe swimming and snorkelling for all ages, while those who prefer a swimming pool have the choice of three private pools within the complex, including one for small children. Shoppers can stroll to any of the four extensively stocked supermarkets within the quiet and well run, attractive complex; or strike out to Playa Blanca town, only ten minutes' walk away along the lovely seafront promenade, where shops of all types and styles can be found. If you don't feel like preparing your own meals in the fully equipped kitchen, you again have the choice of some seven excellent restaurants of various cuisines within the leafy complex alone, and many more in Playa Blanca town. For a quiet night in, the villa offers satellite TV plus video and DVD players and a music centre - in fact, it is more like a home than a holiday rental. For the energetic, the area has spectacular walks, all types of water sports and trips out, either around the island's many attractions or out to sea. The whole family will find something: there are dolphin and whale spotting trips, submarine safaris, deep sea fishing and sailing expeditions. Playa Flamingo itself has a scuba diving centre, and one can find many more around the island. Body boarding, surfing, windsurfing and kite surfing are popular and well catered for. For variety of scenery, it is worth either taking coach trips or hiring a car to see the spectacular and dramatic scenery of the rest of the island and the towns and villages nestling amidst the volcanic landscape, like clusters of sugar lumps,all houses being white in Lanzarote. The world famous local artist Cesar Manrique created the unique atmosphere and image of the island and left a legacy of brilliant artworks and properties for visitors to admire and photograph. |
